Payment Options

For your convenience, University of Pennsylvania Health System accepts a variety of payment alternatives, including payment online, Quick Pay online, pay by phone, Visa®, MasterCard®, American Express®, Discover®, personal checks, money orders, and cash (at the cashiers office only). Note: Please do not send cash through the mail. To protect you, cash will only be accepted in person at the cashier's office and you will be given a receipt.

We understand that each patient has different financial needs and we have a variety of options for you to explore.

In each of the following options, information is provided for you to identify the best financial need for your personal situation. We are here to provide resources and understand your needs.

Payment plan eligibility and terms are based off of the balance on the account. If you are interested in verifying if your account is eligible, please contact a Patient Billing Customer Service Representative at:

Medicaid is a health assistance program financed by federal, state, and local taxes to help pay hospital and medical costs for persons of low income.

You can visit or and learn more about this program as well as identify if you may be eligible. Income guidelines and the application process are available on the websites mentioned.
